The silTEX® 1624.VC2 welding protective blanket consists of high-quality and specially air-textured SiO2 silicate glass yarns and serves as a protective measure for extremely high temperatures of up to 1600 °C. The protective covers of the silTEX® series are used in particular in challenging temperature conditions. Thanks to the vermiculite coating on both sides, the material receives additional protection, which increases its mechanical resilience. This welding blanket, designed for extreme temperatures, maintains its durability in both vertical and horizontal applications. It withstands welding spatter, flying sparks, flames and liquid metal spatter up to extreme temperatures of up to 1600 °C. These blankets are available in a variety of standard and custom sizes, and can also be purchased in convenient rolls.
