Material:

Preoxidized PAN fiber

Application temperature:

up to 900 °C

Needle felts made from preoxidized PAN fibers are a composite of mechanically needled, preoxidized and thermally stabilized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers (Preox fibers). This material has exceptional application properties and can be used as a fiberglass-free flame retardant fleece. Preox fiber is physiologically and toxicologically absolutely harmless and very kind to the skin.

kombiTEX® CFV - Preoxidized PAN needle felts

(Polyacrylonitrile-(PAN)-fiber - up to 900 °C)

kombiTEX® CFV needle felts are flame retardant, self-extinguishing, do not melt and do not drip. The high LOI value makes the material particularly resistant to open flames. The average fiber diameter is 10-12 µm. Various designs are available, for example as needle felt-fabric composite felt, laminated with aluminum foil or as pure fiber felt.
