The fireTEX® KFZ.1460 welding protection blanket and spark protection blanket is 100% free from fiberglass and is made from high-quality preoxidized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers (Preox fiber). These welding protection blankets and spark protection blankets have been specifically designed for the automotive sector to prevent contamination of vehicle bodies and interiors with fiberglass during repair and maintenance work. The fireTEX® KFZ.1460 welding protection blankets and spark protection blankets are approximately 6.0 mm thick, providing excellent thermal insulation to reliably protect paints and components both inside and outside the vehicle from temperature impacts. Despite the high material thickness, these welding protection blankets and spark protection blankets are extremely lightweight, supple, and very flexible, with only about 600 g/m² areal weight. Additionally, this quality ensures good skin compatibility and leaves no fiberglass dust. The fireTEX® KFZ.1460 welding protection blankets and spark protection blankets are non-flammable and are well-suited for vertical and horizontal applications as protective covers against welding splatters, sparks, and direct flames. As needed, these blankets can optionally be equipped with eyelets in various diameters. The fireTEX® KFZ.1460 welding protection blankets and spark protection blankets are available in a variety of standard sizes as well as customized special sizes and can also be obtained as practical rolls.
