The silTEX® 1608.VC2 High-Temperature Welding Protection Blanket is made from high-quality SiO2 silicate fabric with a double-sided vermiculite coating. These high-temperature-resistant welding protection blankets are suitable for the most extreme thermal conditions and can withstand temperatures up to 1600 °C. The double-sided vermiculite coating protects the base material from direct exposure to heat and enhances mechanical strength. Typical application areas include shipbuilding, plant construction, and the chemical industry. Welding protection blankets from the silTEX® series exhibit excellent chemical resistance. The silTEX® 1608.VC2 High-Temperature Welding Protection Blankets are non-flammable and are perfect for vertical and horizontal applications. They provide reliable protection against welding splatter, sparks, direct flames, and even liquid metal splatters. These blankets can be optionally equipped with eyelets in various diameters as needed. The silTEX® 1608.VC2 High-Temperature Welding Protection Blankets are available in a variety of standard sizes as well as custom formats and can also be obtained as convenient rolls.
