HIGH TEMPERATURE Metal Splashes
The 1020.VC2 welding and spatter protection blanket is a heavy high-temperature welding blanket for demanding industrial welding, cutting and hot work. It has been developed for applications where, in addition to heavy sparks and weld spatter, slag, direct thermal exposure and molten metal splashes may occur.
The 1020.VC2 is based on a heavy textured glass fabric with a double-sided vermiculite coating. The mineral coating protects the base fabric against direct thermal exposure and increases its thermal resistance. With a fabric weight of approx. 1,120 g/m², the blanket is designed for application temperatures up to 1,000 °C.
The combination of high temperature resistance and heavy material construction makes the 1020.VC2 particularly suitable for welding, flame cutting, plasma cutting and applications involving intensive spatter exposure. It can be used to shield and cover machinery, equipment, components, floors and adjacent work areas.

The 1020.VC2 is available both as roll goods for individual further processing and in numerous fabricated standard sizes. For applications involving heavy spatter exposure, different formats are available for machinery, equipment and work areas. For project-specific requirements, custom dimensions can also be manufactured.
