1608.VC2 · EXTREME HEAT SILICA WELDING BLANKET UP TO 1600 °C
Lightweight Silica Welding Blanket for Extreme Thermal Loads
EXTREME HEAT Basic
The 1608.VC2 silica welding blanket is a lightweight high-temperature welding blanket for extreme thermal loads during industrial welding, cutting and hot work. It combines exceptionally high temperature resistance with a low fabric weight, making it particularly suitable for large-area protection applications.
The 1608.VC2 is based on a high-purity SiO2 silica fabric with a double-sided vermiculite coating. The silica fabric provides significantly higher temperature resistance than conventional E-glass and is suitable for use at temperatures up to 1,200 °C and short-term exposure up to 1,600 °C. Despite this extreme thermal performance, the fabric weight is only approx. 620 g/m².
The 1608.VC2 provides reliable protection against sparks, hot weld spatter, flames and molten metal splashes. It is suitable for vertical and horizontal applications as well as large-area shielding of machinery, equipment, components and work areas in particularly high-temperature industrial environments.
