Material:

HR glass fiber

Operating temperature:

up to 800 °C

Thickness:

3 to 25 mm

Fiberglass mats of the isoFLEX® 800/NA quality are made from purely mechanically bonded and alkali-free alumino-silicate glass fiber, without boron oxide and fluoride. They have a filament diameter of 6 to 13 μm and a cut length of 30 to 100 mm. isoFLEX® 800/NA fiberglass needle mats are used in industrial applications with process temperatures up to 800 °C and exhibit significantly improved chemical resistance. In the automotive industry, transportation, shipbuilding, construction, and the manufacturing of household and electrical appliances, these needle mats offer a wide range of applications. Due to their non-flammability, fiberglass needle mats can be used for extremely high temperatures and achieve excellent insulation values.

Application Examples

Due to their excellent insulation properties and non-flammability, isoFLEX® 800/NA needle mats are used as a thermal insulator at temperatures of up to 800 °C. As thermal and sound insulation material, needle mats are primarily applied in the following areas:

  • Construction (thermal insulation work)
  • Vehicle manufacturing (engine compartments, floors)
  • Shipbuilding (walls, ceilings, insulation of pipes)
  • Railcar construction (insulation of pipes)
  • Power plants (insulation of turbines)
  • Manufacture of household appliances (thermal insulation)
