EXTREME HEAT Heavy Duty

The 1615.VC2 heavy-duty silica welding blanket is a heavy high-temperature welding and spatter protection blanket for extremely demanding industrial welding, cutting and hot work. It has been developed for applications involving not only extreme temperatures, but also high mechanical loads and intensive exposure to sparks, weld spatter and molten metal splashes.

The 1615.VC2 is based on a heavy SiO2 silica fabric with a double-sided vermiculite coating. With a fabric weight of approx. 1,150 g/m², the welding blanket provides a particularly robust heavy-duty construction. The high-temperature-resistant silica fabric is designed for application temperatures up to 1,200 °C and short-term temperature exposure up to 1,600 °C.

The 1615.VC2 provides reliable protection against heavy sparks, weld spatter, direct flame and molten metal splashes. Thanks to its high thermal and mechanical resistance, it is particularly suitable for heavy industrial applications in shipbuilding, plant engineering, foundries, metalworking, and the chemical and petrochemical industries.
