LOXXER · LOX12 · MULTI-USER CHARGING SYSTEMLOX12 Lithium-Ion Battery Charging Locker System
Fire-resistant charging locker system with 12 individually lockable compartments for lithium-ion batteries – with two 230 V sockets per locker, smoke and temperature detection, audiovisual alarm and active ventilation.
12 CHARGING LOCKERS · MULTI-USER · STORE · CHARGE
Central charging infrastructure with an individual locker for every user
In companies, office buildings, educational facilities and mobility hubs, many people often need to charge lithium-ion batteries at the same time. Open charging areas can quickly lead to disorganised chargers, unclear allocation, unattended batteries and an increased risk of unauthorised access or theft.
The LOXXER LOX12 addresses this challenge with twelve separate, individually lockable charging compartments. Each user has a dedicated charging space and can leave the battery and charger protected inside the locked compartment during charging.
Each locker is equipped with two 230 V sockets and an individual combination lock. With current compartment dimensions of 484 × 246 × 683 mm, there is sufficient space for typical e-bike, e-scooter and comparable lithium-ion batteries together with the charger.
The safety concept goes well beyond a conventional locker system. The LOX12 combines smoke and temperature detection, audiovisual alarms with RGB LED, active ventilation and provision for connection to an external fire alarm control system.
This makes the system particularly suitable wherever several users need to store and charge lithium-ion batteries in an organised, separated and centrally managed technical charging infrastructure.
MULTI-USER · 12 SEPARATE CHARGING LOCKERS
Each user receives an individually lockable charging compartment
The key difference compared with a conventional central battery cabinet is the clear separation of individual user areas. The LOX12 provides twelve completely separate charging lockers.
Each locker has an individual combination lock. The user sets a personal code and can leave the battery and charger inside the locked compartment throughout the charging process.
This enables clear allocation of batteries to individual users, departments or teams. At the same time, the system helps reduce unattended open charging points, cable clutter and unauthorised access.
This concept is particularly useful wherever many different users share the same central charging infrastructure – for example in corporate bike-leasing schemes, office buildings, schools, universities, logistics centres or mobility hubs.
CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE · 2 × 230 V PER LOCKER
Battery and charger remain together inside the personal charging locker
Each of the twelve lockers is equipped with two integrated 230 V sockets. This allows users to operate their own charger together with the battery inside the compartment and leave both in place throughout the charging process.
The current compartment dimensions of 484 × 246 × 683 mm provide sufficient space for typical lithium-ion batteries from e-bikes, e-scooters and comparable mobile equipment, including charger and cable.
The system therefore provides 24 sockets across the twelve charging lockers. The actual number of chargers that can be operated simultaneously and the required electrical connection must be matched to the intended use and charging power.
The result is a clearly structured charging process: one user, one locker, one defined charging point.

OPTION · ADDITIONAL SAFETY LAYER
Optional aerosol fire suppression system for the LOX12
The LOX12 can optionally be equipped with a certified aerosol fire suppression system.
According to the manufacturer, the system is activated in response to smoke detection or a hazardous temperature increase and is intended to suppress an emerging fire event within the affected area as quickly as possible.
A key objective is to limit fire spread to neighbouring charging lockers and the surrounding area. This provides an additional safety layer beyond detection, alarms and the structural separation of the lockers.
The technical limitation remains important: a thermal runaway already taking place inside a lithium-ion cell cannot be reliably stopped by an external extinguishing agent. The aerosol system is therefore primarily intended for fire suppression and event containment within the locker system.
OPTION · M2M · REMOTE MONITORING
Monitor the status of the LOX12 remotely at unattended locations
For locations without permanent on-site supervision, the LOX12 can optionally be equipped with an M2M module for remote monitoring.
The module allows the status of the system to be monitored remotely. This is particularly relevant for facility management, larger corporate sites or operators managing multiple charging locations.
Remote monitoring complements the local smoke and temperature detection and audiovisual alarm functions and allows the LOX12 to be integrated into broader organisational monitoring and emergency-response concepts.
The M2M module can also be combined with the optional aerosol fire suppression system.
Lithium-ion charging infrastructure for businesses and multi-user locations
The LOX12 was developed for applications where multiple people need to store and charge their lithium-ion batteries simultaneously, while keeping each user area separate and individually lockable.
